Deped Secretary visits Balabag Elementary School

March 25, 2025- Deped Secretary Sonny Angara visited Balabag Elementary School to see the Madrasah Education Program (MEP) firsthand, Which Integrates Arabic Language & Islamic Values Education in Boracay, Malay, Aklan.
Sonny Angara praise the Program for making the students feels connected to their heritage and culture. Sec. Angara signed DepEd Order 11 s. 2024, which clarified responsibilities, increased program funds, and raised Asatidz salaries from P8,000 to P12,500. MEP was first established by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos.
Sec. Sonny was greeted by the students with a smile in their face as he walked inside the school.

Ibajay West kicks off DSPC 2025

“Your presences add tremendous value,” said Mrs. Idy R. Pedrita the Public Schools District Supervisor during the opening ceremony of the Districts Schools Press Conference 2025 (DSPC) at Ibajay Sports Center on December 9.
The opening started off by the introduction of the participating schools in the DSPC 2025 followed by the National Anthem and Hymns by the IIS Rondalla Ensemble and then the Announcement of the DSPC 2025.
“Journalism inspires because it comes from the heart” said by Mr. Marth S. Tropa this teaches journalists a better understanding on what is journalism all about and what comes from it another states “to do more and to do better” saying to the journalist to do their best and to break their limit.
“Strengthening the Voice of young journalist, a Steward of Truth and Integrity” is the theme for DSPC 2025 For News Writing Journalism.
